The Licensing Process

When we recognized that our 4-Week Outdoor Fitness Program was ready to take into a bigger market and that our Brand was strong enough to support that expansion we spent months researching the best way to undertake expansion. Our goals were to continue working with our current client base in Atlanta, while allowing for people across the country to benefit from our program. Keeping this in mind we spent many hours meeting with experts in the franchise, licensing and small business areas. After looking at all the options, we decided to expand by licensing our brand.

Many franchised companies tout the governmental control that is provided with a uniform franchise offering as the reason that method is better, but we believe that the type of business dictates the type of expansion. The American Boot Camp Company brand and the web based Group In*FORM*ationtool are what make our business model unique and are the foundation of our licensing program. Just like any other brand or software product, licensing is a common method ofexpansion.

When you purchase a business license from The American Boot Camp Company, you retain your individual identity. Licensing is a lower cost method for a start up or small business to get into a very competitive market. Similar to franchising, our license has a one time upfront fee to cover training and start up, a monthly royalty and an exclusive territory. But what makes our business model different is that you control your business. We do not regulate the type of workouts you run, the place you run your workouts or any other aspect of the operations of your boot camp business. We do not mandate expensive marketing fees or that you participate in co-ops. We do, however, provide you with the tools you need to be successful and the support along every step of the way from day 1 to year 10.
